Atrium@Orchard sold for $839.8m

DHOBY Ghaut is the latest section of the Orchard Road strip up for a significant makeover.

This follows a move by property trust CapitaMall Trust (CMT) to buy The Atrium@Orchard for $839.8 million from the Government.

CMT already owns adjacent Plaza Singapura and plans to integrate the two buildings with better pedestrian links, as well as adding many new shops.

The combined frontage of the two buildings will make this one of the largest developments along Orchard Road and could attract major flagship stores.
